{"id":312,"date":"2025-03-27T09:54:22","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T07:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/magyarbusz.info\/en\/2025\/03\/27\/mav-takes-over-scheduled-bus-services-on-five-routes-starting-april-1\/"},"modified":"2025-03-27T09:54:22","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T07:54:22","slug":"mav-takes-over-scheduled-bus-services-on-five-routes-starting-april-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/magyarbusz.info\/en\/2025\/03\/27\/mav-takes-over-scheduled-bus-services-on-five-routes-starting-april-1\/","title":{"rendered":"M\u00c1V takes over scheduled bus services on five routes starting April 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Under the new nationwide <a href=\"https:\/\/magyarbusz.info\/2025\/03\/26\/a-kovetkezo-evtizedben-is-a-volan-jaratai-biztositjak-hazank-helykozi-buszkozlekedeset\/\">10-year public bus service contract<\/a> effective from April 1, M\u00c1V Szem\u00e9lysz\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1si Zrt. will replace the current operators to provide scheduled bus services on the Budapest\u2013Cs\u00f6m\u00f6r, Cs\u00f6m\u00f6r\u2013Kistarcsa\u2013Nagytarcsa\u2013P\u00e9cel, Budapest\u2013Tisza\u00fajv\u00e1ros\u2013Polg\u00e1r\u2013Tiszavasv\u00e1ri\u2013V\u00e1s\u00e1rosnam\u00e9ny\u2013T\u00e1kos\u2013Csaroda\u2013Beregsur\u00e1ny, Budapest\u2013Pacsa\u2013Zalaegerszeg\u2013Lenti, and Ny\u00edregyh\u00e1za\u2013K\u00f3taj\u2013Buj\u2013Tiszabercel\u2013G\u00e1vavencsell\u0151\u2013Balsa routes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">For a few more days, Hungary&#8217;s intercity bus services will be managed by five companies: M\u00c1V Szem\u00e9lysz\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1si Zrt., G-Busline Kft., Trans-Tour &#8217;90 Kft., Trans-Vonal Kft., and Weekendbus Zrt. However, from April, based on the new contract, only M\u00c1V Szem\u00e9lysz\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1si Zrt. will be authorized to operate these services. Consequently, the suburban, regional, and national bus routes operated by these private companies will be transitioned to Vol\u00e1n from the first day of April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The state operator will take over the <em>419 Budapest\u2013Cs\u00f6m\u00f6r<\/em> and <em>449 Cs\u00f6m\u00f6r\u2013Kistarcsa\u2013Nagytarcsa\u2013P\u00e9cel<\/em> bus routes from Weekendbus K\u00f6zleked\u00e9si Zrt. Starting April 1, the 449 route will run via the M0 motorway, resulting in minor schedule changes, with stops at different times than before and a new stop at the H\u00c9V station instead of the swimming pool in Kistarcsa. The 419 route schedule remains unchanged. The service will use air-conditioned, low-floor buses with a capacity similar to the current fleet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On the <em>1055 Budapest\u2013Tisza\u00fajv\u00e1ros\u2013Polg\u00e1r\u2013Tiszavasv\u00e1ri\u2013V\u00e1s\u00e1rosnam\u00e9ny\u2013T\u00e1kos\u2013Csaroda\u2013Beregsur\u00e1ny<\/em> route, M\u00c1V Szem\u00e9lysz\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1si Zrt. will replace Trans-Tour \u201990 K\u00f6zleked\u00e9si Kft. with buses maintaining the current schedule. These buses will be 49-seat Neoplan Tourliners, equipped with USB charging ports and air conditioning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <em>1187 Budapest\u2013Pacsa\u2013Zalaegerszeg\u2013Lenti<\/em> line will see minor changes as G-Busline Aut\u00f3buszk\u00f6zleked\u00e9si Kft. routes are transferred. Buses will now depart from and arrive at N\u00e9pliget in Budapest, rather than the D\u00e9li station. They will also stop at Sasadi \u00fat, Pet\u0151fi h\u00edd (Buda side), and \u00dajbuda-k\u00f6zpont, creating a unified service system with the Zalaegerszeg-Lenti routes previously operated by the company, including the option to <a href=\"https:\/\/magyarbusz.info\/2024\/09\/13\/helyfoglalasi-rendszer-a-volanbusznal-kerdesek-es-valaszok\/\">reserve seats<\/a>. Public transport connections within Budapest will significantly improve with better links to BKK Zrt. services (M3, M4 metro lines, and tram lines 1, 4, 6), simplifying access to the southern and eastern parts of the city. In Zalaegerszeg, to enhance passenger service, the route will shift from K\u00f6zt\u00e1rsas\u00e1g \u00fat to Als\u00f3erdei \u00fat\u2013G\u00f6cseji \u00fat, stopping at the Kertv\u00e1ros entrance instead of E\u00f6tv\u00f6s J\u00f3zsef Primary School, and also serving the K\u00f6ztemet\u0151 (G\u00f6cseji \u00fat) stop. Some departure times will be slightly adjusted. Additional services are planned for weekends based on demand. The route will be served by 55-seat, air-conditioned, three-axle Neoplan Tourliner buses equipped with USB chargers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <em>4249 Ny\u00edregyh\u00e1za\u2013K\u00f3taj\u2013Buj\u2013Tiszabercel\u2013G\u00e1vavencsell\u0151\u2013Balsa<\/em> bus route will be taken over from Trans-Vonal K\u00f6zleked\u00e9si Kft. by the state operator.
